PLS® Examination Eligibility Requirements

 
 

 
To sit for the PLS® examination, you must have: 
   
    three years' experience in the legal field  
   
A partial waiver (up to 1 year) of the three-year legal
experience requirement may be granted for:  
   
    Certain post-secondary degrees,  
    Successful completion of the ALS® examination, or
    Attainment of other certifications.  
   
Membership in NALS is not a requirement.   

 

All examinations are given the first Saturday in March (in conjunction with the regional conferences) and the last Saturday in September.
