Our speaker will be Penney Nichols-Whitehead, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Developmental Psychology, Grand Valley State University.  She will present "Anxiety and You, Your Family, and Your Job." 

Dr. Nichols-Whitehead received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of Iowa.  She obtained her B.S. in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) from Central Michigan University, and earned her A.A. from Minneapolis Community College (Magna Cum Laude).  She is currently Assistant Professor of Psychology at Grand Valley State University and was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.  Prior to that she was an instructor at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Nichols-Whitehead is the wife of a retired military non-commissioned officer, and she is a mother and grandmother.  She has had many manuscripts published and has been an expert witness for the District Court.  She is active in the Comstock Park Schools and has been interviewed about Adolescent Development for Grand Rapids Family Magazine.
